What type of service are you? (i.e. Eating disorder service, private clinic, diabetes centre): We are an nhs community eating disorder service

Where is the service based?: We are based in Northampton but also see people at a base in Kettering

Who do you care for (i.e. age limits)?: We work with indivduals fromthe age of 18 to the grave. In some cases we will work with indivduals between the age of 16 - 18 if it is felt a more adult approach to treatment would be helpful.

What is your catchment area ?: The whole of northamptonshire. An indivdual must be registered with a GP in Northamptonshire

How to get a referral: We accept self referrals and referral from gp's, other mental health professionals, counselours/therapists, health visitors, midwives, hospital doctors or nurses, social workers, dietitians, (any health professional in primary or secondary care),

If self referral what is the process?: The indivdual is asked to write to us detailing their struggles

If GP/ Diabetes team referral who should be asked for?: Kathryn Weaver - Clinical Nurse Specialist

What approach and therapies are offered?: We offer both group and indivdual therapies. Individual treatmentis based upon the indvudals aims and goals. The style of treatment offered in linked with the understanding of the nature of the indivduals struggles. A group modular programme is avaialbe offering both motivational enhancement therapy and we also offer specific modules which are within a CBT framework
